In an effort to both reduce the amount of paper that goes home with your child and to enhance communication between the PTA and parents/guardians at WNES, the PTA Executive board has established an email database. Many of you chose to participate in this database at Meet the Teacher night. We want to re-iterate that these email addresses will be used only for communication and distribution of information from the WNES PTA. They will not be shared with any third party and will only be used for the stated purpose. Communications from the WNES PTA using this email distribution list will come a single address, info@wnespta.org. Additionally, the distribution list will not be visible to all parties receiving the email. That is, your email address will not be exposed to all other parties in the database.
Some class parents may be asking for email addresses from parents/guardians in their class or grade for purposes of communication on class or grade specific issues. These email addresses collected by class parents are maintained separately and are not part of the PTA email database. As such, the PTA executive board does not control how these email addresses are maintained or used. Class parents are asking for your email for legitimate reasons however you may want to clarify how your email address will be maintained and used before releasing your private email for this purpose.
